Description
Why did I write “So Now What?”
“….I felt as if my feelings, fears, emotions and thoughts were in a vacuum.. I was screaming but no one could hear me…”
Anyone who has been through these feelings will also know what its like to feel alone, abandoned and angry. I am the mother of a 9 year old child who has Cerebral Palsy and Autism. I also suffered with post natal depression for about 2 years after the birth of this child. By spending time with God and working hard at changing my negative attitudes and responses to positive ones, I am now free of depression and speak very honestly about our feelings, emotions and dealings with a disabled child
My motivation for writing this book was not only to remember but also to help other mums going through the same thing. Also, to give those who battle through depression a “light at the end of the tunnel”. Another motivation was to educate those who have never been exposed to a child or adult with a disability. It is a testimony too that we can live in freedom and joy even through the greatest of trials. This book has a very honest approach which I believe will help others to work through guilt and give them an understanding of what we REALLY feel and how we learn coping mechanisms.

What it’s about

This is a true story about a family’s struggle and ultimate victory in dealing with a disabled child. Mitchell was born on the 14th October 1998 and seven months later, after numerous concerns, Bryan and Celeste were faced with a life-changing challenge. Mitchell was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and much later, autism. Celeste speaks very frankly about their ordeal and feelings of depression and anger. She speaks about how this affected her other child and her relationship with her husband. She brings you into her world now, which is a place of peace, security and victory through Jesus Christ.

Celeste has written a courageous book which explains how she dealt with and in some cases still deals with:
• Grief
• Relationships
• Discipline
• Facing rejection, and
• Depression, just to name a few.
"I came through victorious, not because of who I am, or even what I have done, but through my faith in Jesus Christ and the help I know comes from Him alone."
